Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TraceMind, including our Chrome extension and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service.

Description of Service

TraceMind is a Chrome browser extension that enhances your browsing history with AI-powered search and visual screenshots. The extension is available in free and paid (Pro) tiers. The Free plan delivers core functionality, full-text and AI semantic search, advanced filters, encryption, basic history tracking with low-quality screenshot capture (320×240px), unlimited pages, 365-day retention, and exclusion controls (up to 10 domains). The Pro plan unlocks productivity features like notes, tags, pinning, offline page viewer, export/import backups, Ultra HD screenshots up to 1920×1080px, priority support, unlimited excluded domains, custom date range filters, and analytics drill-down.

User Accounts and Licenses

No account is required to use the free tier of TraceMind. The free version is available to anyone who downloads the extension. For the Pro version, a license is issued upon purchase.

Pro licenses are personal and non-transferable. Each license grants one individual user the right to use the extension on multiple devices they own or control. You may not share your license key with other people or use one license across multiple accounts.

License keys must not be shared publicly or distributed. If your license key is compromised, we may revoke it. We reserve the right to revoke any license that we determine has been used fraudulently or in violation of these terms.

Payment Terms

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise noted. Payments are processed securely by Paddle, our payment processor. By making a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the amount specified.

For subscription-based billing plans, you will be charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your selection). Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it.

For yearly subscriptions, you pay once per year and receive automatic renewal unless cancelled. You will receive reminders before renewal.

Prices may change at any time. However, existing subscriptions will be honored at the price you agreed to at the time of purchase. Changes in price will not affect your current billing period.

Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans, including monthly and yearly subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of your purchase date.

To request a refund, email us at support@tracemind.app with your license key and the date of your purchase. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

After 14 days, refunds are not available except as required by applicable law. If you paid via credit card or your country has consumer protection laws that override this policy, you may still be eligible for a refund, please contact us to discuss.

Subscription Cancellation

If you have a subscription-based plan, you may cancel at any time. You can cancel your subscription through your Paddle account dashboard or by contacting us at support@tracemind.app.

Your access to Pro features will continue until the end of your current billing period. After that, you will be downgraded to the free version. No partial refunds are issued for unused time in your billing period.

Your local browsing data remains on your device after cancellation. You can reactivate your Pro license at any time by purchasing a new subscription.

Acceptable Use

When using TraceMind, you agree that you will not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the extension in any way. This includes attempting to access the extension's code through developer tools or any other technical method.

Redistribute, resell, rent, lease, or share your license key with other people. Your license is for your personal use only.

Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws, regulations, or intellectual property rights.

Attempt to circumvent licensing restrictions or license verification mechanisms, including attempting to bypass license checks or forge license keys.

Interfere with the operation of the service, including interfering with license validation servers, attempting to access the service in unauthorized ways, or taking actions that disrupt service availability for other users.

Intellectual Property

The TraceMind software, including the Chrome extension, website, and all associated materials, are owned by Fuat Shakjiri (doing business as TraceMind). All rights are reserved.

Your purchase of a Pro license grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive license to use the software. You do not own the software; you have the right to use it subject to these terms.

Your browsing data, including your history, screenshots, and search queries stored locally on your device, remains your property. We claim no ownership over your data.

Any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports that you provide to us may be used by us to improve the product. You grant us the right to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

TraceMind IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that any defects will be corrected or that the service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

We do not warrant that search results will be accurate or reliable. While we strive to provide accurate indexing and search functionality, errors, omissions, or inaccuracies may occur.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these terms or the use of TraceMind is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have not paid anything, our liability is limited to $1.

We are not liable for data loss. Your browsing data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We do not provide backup services or data recovery.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TraceMind, its owners, operators, and employees from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to TraceMind immediately and without notice for any of the following reasons:

Violation of these terms, including sharing license keys, reverse engineering, or unauthorized use.

Fraudulent activity or attempts to circumvent licensing mechanisms or payment processes.

At our sole discretion with or without cause. If we terminate without cause, we may issue a refund of the pro-rata portion of your subscription.

You may terminate your access to TraceMind at any time by uninstalling the extension, canceling your subscription, or requesting account deletion. You may also request deletion of all data associated with your account by emailing us.

Modifications to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted to this page. For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of TraceMind after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of TraceMind will be resolved in the courts located in California.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if that is not possible, it will be severed. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TraceMindregarding the use of the service. These terms supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and negotiations, whether written or oral.
